Jewelry Care

tallulahsjewelry.com handcrafted artisan jewelry is the kind of jewelry you can wear every day and pass on to the next generation. To keep your jewelry in quality condition, it must be cared for properly.
Dust, pollution and daily wear all conspire to cloud the brilliance of gemstones and pearls. Semi-precious gems and pearls should be cleaned with a soft cloth. Avoid chemicals and solvents, as these may damage the surface of stones and pearls.
We love the natural look of silver. This precious metal will naturally tarnish over time. You may like this new look even more, and embrace this change. If, however, you wish to return it to its original color, a commercial silver cleaner or polishing cloth may be used. Take care to avoid getting cleaning fluid on silk cord, stones and pearls.
The color of blackened silver will soften over time to a lustrous gray, leaving lovely variations in the texture of the silver surface. Unlike tarnish, the blackening process is not reversed with silver cleaner. A soft cloth will remove any dust from the surface, but no care is otherwise required.
Professional cleaning is recommended as often as once per year, especially for our hand strung gems and pearls on silk cord.
If you experience any damage or find the need for repair, please email us at contactus@tallulahsjewelry.com
